Requirements

Retail client:

  1. 1Completed Account opening form
  2. 2Letter of appointment
  3. Address confirmation for the client (copy of utility bill e.g. telephone, water, power bill. The utility bills must be less then 3 months old)
  4. One coloured passport size photograph
  5. Copies of ID card or Passport (legible copies)
  6. PIN certificate
  7. Custody agreement (provided by Chase Bank)

Companies:

  1. Completed Account opening form
  2. Certificate of Incorporation
  3. Memos & Articles of Association
  4. Certificate of change of name (if applicable)
  5. Certificate of Registration (required for Insurance companies / societies)
  6. Notice of registered office and postal address of company
  7. For the Signatories & Directors:
    • One coloured passport size photographs
    • Address confirmations for the officials (copies of utility bills e.g. telephone, water, power bills. The utility bills must be less then 3 months old)
    • Copies of ID cards or Passport (legible copies)
    • PIN certificate
  8. Board resolution to open the custody account
  9. PIN certificate for company
  10. Latest Audited Accounts
  11. A copy of latest annual return with the Registrar of companies
  12. Statements from current Bankers (if any)
  13. Identification of individual members / Directors with more than 20% or more shareholding
  14. Shareholding structure (Organogram) and percentage of shareholding
  15. Custody agreement (provided by Chase Bank)

Trusts and pension schemes / funds & Other Associations / Clubs:

  1. Account Opening Forms – Chase Bank to forward forms (all Trustees to sign)
  2. Copy of Trust Deed & Rules or Constitution
  3. Copy of RBA certificate or Certificate of Registration
  4. Copy of KRA Tax exemption certificate (if applicable)
  5. For the Trustees & signatories:
    • One coloured passport size photographs
    • Address confirmations for the Trustees
    • Copies of ID cards or Passport or Drivers Licence (legible copies)
  6. Letter of appointment and copy of minutes of Board of Trustees resolving to open the account with Chase Bank
  7. Custody agreement – Chase Bank to provide (all Trustees to sign)

Foreign investors - Companies:

  1. Letter of appointment on Company letterhead
  2. Notarised Certificate of Registration, Memos & Articles of Association
  3. List of current directors and signatories. Accompanying documents include:
    • One coloured passport size photograph
    • Address confirmations for the officials (copies of utility bills e.g. telephone, water, power bills. The utility bills must be less then 3 months old
    • Copies of Passport (legible copies) – showing validity (expiry date) and holder’s signature
  4. Resolution (by the board)
  5. Latest Audited Accounts
  6. A copy of compliance certificate by the Registrar of companies
  7. Source of funds
  8. Custody agreement (provided by Chase Bank)
  9. Power of Attorney – allowing Chase Bank to operate the account on Client’s behalf.
