Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Chase Bank is made up of a blend of seasoned businessmen with various business interests and backgrounds as well as experienced executive directors with international banking and audit backgrounds. Founded primarily as a corporate bank for the Kenyan market, the Board drives the Bank on a platform of professionalism, expertise and enviable standards of corporate governance.

Mr. Murgian has business interests in transport and financial investments both locally and in Europe. He is the owner of Winton Capital in London, Managing Director of Murgian Transport and Murgian Group Holdings in Kenya. He was educated in Brighton College in Sussex, U.K and holds qualifications in Commerce and Business Administration.
He brings to the Board a wealth of entrepreneurial skills and international best practice and experience.






Mr. Khan is the Managing Director and has overall resposibility for the day-to-day mamagement of the Bank. He was previously the Managing Director of Indosuez Merchant Finance (K) Ltd, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Credit Agricole Indosuez in Kenya. He also worked with Price Waterhouse in various capacities. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales; he is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and an active member of the Banking Committee of ICPAK. Mr. Khan is also an active Rotarian.
He brings on board the professional expertise and valuable experience from audit, finance and banking.


Mr. Kabui, deputizes the Managing Director in execution of the Bank's strategy and overall management of the Bank. He joined the Bank in 1995 and has risen through the ranks in various positions and capacities through the years. He has nurtured tremendous experience and grasp of the business, its internal and external dynamics as well as the Bank's strategic positioning. He comes from a background of stock broking and is a holder of a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
He is currently in charge of the business development. He is an active round tabler and golfer




Mr. Shariff is the Managing Director of Alibhai Shariff & Sons Ltd, a leading trading company in the industrial building and construction sectors. He is also a Director of Sadolin Paints (EA LTD) one of the largest paint manufacturing companies in East Africa. Mr. Shariff holds a degree in Economics from the University of Liverpool, England.
He brings to the Board valuable managerial and entrepreneurial skills from his family business circles and experience.





Mr. Gachui is the Chairman of Wananchi Online, one of the country's largest Internet Service Providers. He is a leading venture capitalist and director of Trans Century Ltd which has numerous interests in businesses locally and within the region, including a quoted cable and conductors manufacturer. He comes to the Board with over 15 years experience in Total International, the French petroleum giant.
Mr. Gachui holds a degree in Chemical Engineering with Honors and is an active golfer.
